Event Details
The American Red Cross will be at St. Francis Convent on Monday, October 27, 1-7 p.m.; Tuesday, October 28, 12-6 p.m.; and Wednesday, October 29, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. We are counting on you to come and fill this great need. It’s easy and convenient, and it only takes about an hour to give whole blood. Blood is something you can spare; you will help ensure that there is a supply when it’s needed and you’ll be someone’s hero. You can also find out your blood type if you don’t know it. We are always happy for any blood type but are especially looking for type-O donors, often called universal donors because their blood can be transfused to patients with other blood types.
Individuals who are at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height), and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. An ID or Red Cross donor card is required. Bringing another family member or a friend is always appreciated. Make your appointment online at redcrossblood.org or call Sister Julien Dirkes at 320-632-0663.
