Donor Day draws largest crowd ever!

Elizabeth Rydeen

Wow! That’s all I can say. Door Day 2025 far exceeded my expectations. I never dreamed that 250 donors would respond to our invitation. To see the chapel filled to capacity is something I’ll never forget. The Mass, homily and music were out of this world. From the west entrance to the chapel to the Dining Room and St. Francis Hall everything was perfect. The meal was spectacular and the service superb. So many wonderful volunteers! Someone told me, “The sisters know how to throw a party!” The program was engaging. People are very interested in the future of our campus and the sisters’ legacy!

If I started listing names, I’d be sure to forget someone. However, I do know that almost every department on campus had a hand in preparing for our guests and planning the day’s activities. Thank you to Administration, Archives, CRD, Environmental Services, Hospitality, Leadership, Liturgy, Nutrition Services, Reception/Gift Shop, Technology and Volunteers. And thank you, sisters, for graciously welcoming the donors into your home, visiting with them and, of course, showing your appreciation. My heart is full!
